Fungal Bloom is a painting that was inspired by a series of photos taken within my one bedroom apartment. My photos were conducted as a study to see how I could make the boundary between my figure and immediate environment decompose. This painting was created in conversation with my past series to emphasize that decomposition bringing nutrients back into new growth through a cyclical process.
